2021 Municipal Election results for Duplin County

Listed below are the results for Duplin County for the 2021 Municipal Election.

Beulaville

In Beulaville, there were no contested races. Michael Bruce Jones ran for the Beulaville Mayor seat and Delmas Highsmith and Emmett Eugene Wickline II ran for the two open Beulaville Commissioner seats.

Calypso

In Calypso, there were no contested races. Christopher Cox ran for the available mayoral seat. Rubylene Lambert and Debra Jones, James Nunn, Marvin Taylor, and Joanne Wilson ran for the five Calypso Commissioner seats.

Faison

In Faison, Carolyn Kenyon was the only candidate for the Faison Mayoral seat. Sharon Franklin, Kevin Hayes, Sandy McCarty, and William Ward II competed for the three available Faison Commissioner seats. The winners for the Faison Commissioner seats were Ward II, McCarty, and Franklin.

Greenevers

In Greenevers, Alfred Dixon and Diane Brown were vying for the Greenevers Mayoral seat to finish the unexpired term ending in 2023. The winner of the Greenevers mayoral race was Brown. The Greenevers Commissioners have one unexpired term ending in 2023 with two candidates. Joseph Bivens and Kimberly Hall were both competing for that seat. Hall won the unexpired Greenevers Commissioner seat ending in 2023. Greenevers Commissioners had three other seats open in an uncontested race with Gregory Carr, Mary James, and Timothy Murphy who took those open seats.

Kenansville

In Kenansville, John Garner was running for the available mayoral seat. There were two commissioner seats open for the Kenansville Commissioners and one candidate ran, Kirk Bell.

Magnolia

In Magnolia, there were three seats open for the Magnolia Commissioners and four candidates, Marion Cavenaugh, Charles Rogers, Ethelene Southerland, and Perry Raines. The three winners of this race were Southerland, Raines, and Cavenaugh.

Rose Hill

In Rose Hill, there were no contested races. No one ran for the open Rose Hill Mayoral seat. Marsha Whaley and Ross Powell won the two open rose Hill Commissioner seats.

Teachey

In Teachey, there were two Commissioner seats open. Ethylen Powell, Patrick Williams, and Lois McCartney were vying for those seats. The two winners of this race are Powell and Williams.

Wallace

In Wallace, Jason Wells was running for the open mayoral seat in an uncontested race. Earl Brinkley, Jody Brooks, Wannetta Carlton, Jason Davis, and Linda Sikes were all in the race for the two Wallace Councilman positions. The two winners of this race were Davis and Carlton.

Warsaw

In Warsaw, there were no contested races. For the open mayoral position, Anthony Conners ran unopposed. There were two Warsaw Commissioner seats open and Ivey Eason and Ebony Wills ran for those two seats.
