Duplin County Seniors eligible for Food Reimbursement Assistance Program

Duplin County is one of the pilot counties working with Eastern Carolina Council Area Agency on Aging with the food reimbursement assistance program. *Seniors must be a resident of Duplin County, sixty years of age and older and must provide picture identification to verify age and residence. Reimbursement for groceries is limited to $500.00 per household. Food receipts must be submitted for reimbursement to Eastern Carolina Council Area Agency on Aging.

There are two options to register at this time:

1. Call Eastern Carolina Council Area Agency on Aging at 252-638-3185, choose option #1, dial extension 3015, if no one answers, leave message with first name, last name, telephone number and state Duplin County.

2. Call the senior center at 910-296-2140 for assistance with program.

This is a great opportunity to assist seniors with the increase in groceries.
