Hoving Home Crisis Center to open in Rose Hill

A new crisis care facility will be opening in Rose Hill, NC. Hoving Home Crisis Center is located on East South Street in Rose Hill. The facility, previously a ministry called Saving Grace Ministries, will continue the work that had started there.

“The purpose of our program is to help women become free from addictions and other life-controlling issues,” said Kelly Mahoney, Hoving Home Program Manager. “Our Home offers a faith-based discipleship program as an alternative to traditional rehabilitation programs.”

During the course of the program, a student has the opportunity to grow spiritually, develop emotional balance, and become physically healthy and socially active in all aspects of society.

“The Hoving Home offers a therapeutic community where basic needs are met by providing a warm bed and three nutritious meals a day,” said Mahoney. “The crisis center will provide immediate care for anyone trying to come out of a chaotic lifestyle of destruction.”

Hoving Home is a 501c-3 organization. They do not accept insurance and do not get any government funding. The Home is funded through private donations from individuals, churches, corporations and foundations. All gifts are tax-deductible. The cost for services is determined by individual’s ability to pay but no one is ever denied help for lack of financial ability.

“Our Rose Hill, N.C. location opens in January 2022. Our phone lines are manned 24/7 to help those in need and ready to receive help,” said Mahoney. “It is our goal that no one gets off the phone with us without receiving hope for help.”

A resident will stay in the crisis center for approximately 30 days at which that point a long term option is considered at one of their other centers. Hoving Home does believe their long term option provides the best chance at sustainable recovery. Each case is carefully evaluated to ensure the best next steps after the crisis care period.

“The desire of the Hoving Home and our C.E.O. Beth Greco is to see more beds open for women who are ready for help,” said Mahoney. “When the opportunity arose to come to Rose Hill, it was a simple ‘Yes, Lord.’”

Hoving Home has four other locations across the nation including one in Pasadena, C.A., Las Vegas, N.V., Oxford, N.J., and in Garrison, N.Y. They have a Women’s Program, a Women & Children’s Program and a Leadership Academy.

“With overdose deaths reaching over 100,000+ this past year, we have a national emergency and a personal responsibility,” said Mahoney. “Hoving Home is working hard to fight to end heartache and hopelessness.”
