James Sprunt Community College Foundation hosts a Holiday Social

James Sprunt Community College Foundation hosted a Holiday Social for James Sprunt Community College Retirees. This event took place on December 15th from 2:00-3:00 PM in the Williams Building, Room 100. This special event provided an opportunity for former employees of JSCC to reconnect. Administrative representatives also attended to mingle with our honored guests. Dr. Jay Carraway, campus president, offered a few inspiring words at the event. “Without our past, we have nothing to build on.”

Attendees enjoyed a variety of snacks and beverages and were given time to browse through collected photo albums from the past. Cheer uniforms and other nostalgic JSCC items were displayed for all to enjoy. The event ended with the invitation to tour our newest campus addition, the Hoffler Health Education Building. Attendees enjoyed having an opportunity to see old friends while marveling over the growth of our campus.

Although this was the first time the JSCC Foundation has formally hosted a Retiree Social, the event was successfully attended and enjoyed by all. Hopes are to continue this special occasion in the future.

Rhonda Ferrell, 26 years of service
