Gov. Roy Cooper signed a new governing structure for high school athletics into law following a months-long stakeholder process in the General Assembly. The new structure will emphasize the needs of student-athletes while allowing the State Board of Education to partner with a nonprofit organization to oversee high school athletics.
From House Bill 165: “If a salvage vehicle owner wants to keep the vehicle, the insurer must give the owner an owner-retained salvage form. The owner must complete the owner-retained salvage form and give it to the insurer when the insurer pays the claim.”
"This budget moves North Carolina forward in important ways. Funding for high speed internet, our universities and community colleges, clean air and drinking water and desperately needed pay increases for teachers and state employees are all critical for our state to emerge from this pandemic stronger than ever.
