Wallace Police Department seek man wanted in connection with attempted armed robbery

Bryant Lamont Williams Jr. of Wallace, is wanted by WPD for a list of charges arising out of a violent incident that occurred, April 18, 2022.

Williams attempted to rob a person by use of a handgun with a large drum magazine. The victim fled into a nearby convenience store. While the victim was inside, the suspect went into the victims vehicle and stole money.

WPD arrived while the suspect was still on scene. WPD officers boxed in the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect then rammed two patrol vehicles and fled at a high rate of speed.

Officers gave chase, but due to the heavy rains and unsafe driving conditions, the chase was terminated near Cornwallis Rd and Providence Church Rd. Williams was driving a black Nissan Maxima. The Maxima now has significant damage to the passenger door. There is likely damage to the rear bumper as well.

Warrants are being obtained on Williams for Attempted Armed Robbery, Felony B&E to a Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny, Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Felony Fleeing to Elude Arrest.
