Norma-Jean Miller: Thankful for the place that raised me

It took going off to college at NC State in Raleigh, for me to truly appreciate where I came from. I am so thankful for the childhood I had in Duplin County and the blessings that it bestowed upon me. Whether we’re talking about the small town feel, the amazing food found throughout the county, or my family who have been there for generations, Duplin County is where the start of all my memories were made.

Dr. Jay Carraway: A lot to be thankful for

James Sprunt Community College has a lot to be thankful for this year. We are grateful to have students in our classrooms. We are thankful for our new state-of-the-art nursing facility. We are grateful to have received special recognition this year for being one of only two community colleges in the state to have exceeded our enrollment goals for the fall. We were also recognized as 3rd in the state and 12th in the nation by the Best Value Schools list of Best Associate of Arts Degrees in 2021.
