Wallace resident charged with trafficking and possession

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, investigators with the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on a residence located at 7397 Highway 41S, Wallace, NC. There were two drug overdoses that occurred at this residence on January 25, 2022. This residence was being occupied by Saadiq Denzel Carney. Investigators seized approximately 5 grams of fentanyl, 15 grams of oxycodone, and $4,346.00 in US currency. Saadiq Denzel Carney was charged with Trafficking by Manufacturing in Opiates, Trafficking by Possession in Opiates, PWIMSD Schedule II, Maintain a Place to Keep Controlled Substances, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Saadiq Carney received a $75,000.00 secured bond.
